Ongair operates a web-based dashboard that lets businesses engage with customers on messaging platforms such as WhatsApp, Messenger, Telegram and WeChat. The platform provides reports and analytics and can integrate with CRM systems like ZenDesk. Launched last year, Ongair today services over 700 businesses including media companies, e-commerce platforms, universities, financial institutions and nonprofits. The company plans to add more instant-messaging platforms in the future and is targeting 10,000 customers by the end of 2016. Management says it will use new funding to support growth, expand strategically into Asian markets and set up in Hong Kong to enter China. CEO Trevor Kimenye and co-founder Charles Gichuki aim to scale globally while leveraging Nest’s network and strategic input.
