Onward provides an automated smartphone app that tracks usage, blocks unwanted apps/sites, generates behavioral reports, and delivers clinically validated actions and training to reduce device overuse and harmful content consumption. The product couples passive tracking with social-connection Ulysses-contract tools and accountability features. Onward launched to combat screen addiction and is expanding programs to address online gambling and pornography addiction. In studies of its users (1,400 self-identified pornography addicts and 2,500 screen over-users), roughly 89% reduced screen or pornography time, 51% of pornography-identified users stopped watching porn entirely, and screen-time users averaged 75 fewer hours online per year; the app prevented 62% of attempts to cross self-set limits.
