ONWARD is developing ARC Therapy to restore movement, independence, and health in people with spinal cord injury. ARC Therapy is delivered via an implantable system (ARC-IM) and an external system (ARC-EX) that provide targeted, programmed spinal cord stimulation. Both ARC-IM and ARC-EX have been awarded Breakthrough Device Designation by the FDA. ARC-EX is undergoing a pivotal clinical trial called Up-LIFT in the U.S., Canada, the U.K., and Western Europe. The company says the new $32 million financing will allow continued development and commercialization of its two platforms. ONWARD has headquarters at the High Tech Campus in Eindhoven and the EPFL Innovation Park in Lausanne, and a growing U.S. presence in Boston.
