OOrion
10-12 Rue de Penthièvre, Paris, 75008, France
Overview
Founded in September 2022 in Lyon by Stéphanie Robieux and Thomas Brisson, OOrion offers a free mobile application that leverages the smartphone camera and proprietary AI algorithms to identify objects and orientation cues for blind and low-vision users. The solution requires no on-site equipment and is already available in 32 languages, being used in more than 90 countries. Early commercial traction includes deployments or pilots with Carrefour, Intermarché, several Accor hotels (Molitor Paris, Pullman Paris Centre-Bercy, multiple Ibis sites) and restaurants such as La Nonna and Brasserie Georges. The company targets hospitality, retail and other public-access venues, positioning itself at the intersection of accessibility and computer vision. Participation in programs like France Tourisme Tech and SNCF x Meta has further validated its technology. With fresh capital, OOrion plans to scale its sales and engineering teams and deepen international expansion while cementing its foothold in hospitality and retail. The recent €1 million seed financing provides the runway to accelerate these growth initiatives.
