Overview
Opbeat is a stealth Danish startup that offers a hosted, collaborative control center for web operations aimed at developers and engineering teams. The platform can be set up in minutes and centralizes deployment, monitoring and operational workflows so small teams can avoid building internal tools. Founders Rasmus Makwarth and Ron Cohen built Opbeat from frustrations at multiple tech companies where engineers spent weeks cobbling internal ops tools. Opbeat has raised outside financing including a $2.7M Series A led by Balderton Capital and an earlier seed round from angel investors. Seed investors include Instagram co-founder Mike Krieger, Facebook co-founder Andrew McCollum, former Spotify CTO Andreas Ehn, Steffan Christensen and Thomas Madsen-Mygdal. The company says it will use the new capital to ramp up hiring and scale the product, with an initial go-to-market focus on developers in the U.S.
