OpDemand’s core product is Command & Control (C2), a cloud infrastructure management platform that automates deployment and management of raw cloud computing infrastructure. C2 launched in Public Beta on November 17, 2011 and is available free during the beta period. The platform features a library of customizable templates for services including Ruby on Rails, Django, Node.js and WordPress, and a dynamic orchestration engine that assembles and disassembles complex environments. OpDemand says C2 can enable up to 90 percent cost savings on cloud hosting by allowing users to stop and restart entire environments rapidly. The company emphasizes simplicity, user experience and control for developers, operations engineers and system administrators. OpDemand is based in Boulder, Colorado and was founded by Gabriel Monroy, Joshua Schnell and Yoni Gorelov.
