Open Energi is a London, UK-based provider of energy demand management solutions. Its core product, Open Dynamic Demand™, reacts instantaneously to changes in the balance between supply and demand on the electricity grid. The solution works with stored energy devices including refrigerators, heating and ventilation systems, air conditioning units, water heaters and industrial processes, and can be installed in electrical appliances at the point of production in partnership with manufacturers. The company has partnered with Sainsbury’s and Defra. Open Energi received a £5m (approximately $8m) investment from existing investor Ombu Group. The company intends to use the capital to expand its business in the UK and overseas; David Stevenson is CEO.
