Overview
OpenCloud is a Cambridge, UK-based supplier of real-time application server software for next-generation convergent telecommunications services. Its core products include the Rhino Telecom Application Server and a Service Interaction Server — carrier-grade, high-performance service execution environments for traditional and Telco 2.0 services on TDM and IP networks. The company counts BT, Vodafone, and T Mobile among a customer base of over 30 mobile and fixed network telecom operators. OpenCloud has R&D, engineering and support in New Zealand and Spain, and branch offices in Singapore and Jakarta. It received a £4m investment from Nokia Siemens Networks and an additional £1m from existing investors Advent Venture Partners and No 8 Ventures, totaling £5m. The financing is intended to support global expansion, extend partner and application portfolios, and develop future products. As part of the arrangement, OpenCloud’s Rhino and Service Interaction Server will be integrated into NSN’s charge@once unified product suite under an OEM agreement.
