Overview
OpenLedger builds a decentralized infrastructure to turn AI models into verifiable blockchain assets and enable an "AI payable" economy. The protocol combines an off-chain execution layer for high-performance inference with an on-chain settlement layer to secure and verify outputs. OpenLedger says it has raised $15 million since 2024 to develop this infrastructure. On its testnet the project reported over six million registered nodes, 25 million transactions, 20,000 AI models created and 27 deployed products. The network uses a proof-of-attribution system that automatically rewards contributors whenever their data influences a model’s output. OpenLedger plans a mainnet launch in September and will introduce the OPEN token to power model registration, inference calls, governance and contributor rewards. OpenLedger develops permissionless, data-centric infrastructure and data pipelines to support AI development within Web3 environments. Its core product focuses on data-first tooling and pipeline reliability for machine learning workflows. The company has positioned its stack to enable AI developers to access and manage data in a permissionless manner. OpenLedger announced an $8M seed financing to support its growth. The new capital will be used to expand the team and to strengthen its data-pipeline infrastructure. The article did not disclose operating metrics or revenue figures.
