The platform manages the investment lifecycle from sourcing and diligence to subscribing, capital-call scheduling, investor servicing, and reporting, and integrates with existing vendors and technology. Opto has partnered with over 80 RIAs and operates with a 45-member team. Leadership includes Co-Founder and CEO Mark Machin and Co-Founder and Chairman Joe Lonsdale, with additional team members from firms such as Addepar, BlackRock, Bridgewater, CAIS, and PIMCO. The company says it will use its new capital to secure investment opportunities for customers, continue scaling the business, and expand its team. Opto emerged from stealth (formerly operating as “LIT”) and positions itself to broaden access to private markets for advisors and their clients.
