Orbel Health, founded by CTO Adam Sutcliffe, is a London-based healthcare startup that has developed a patented personal alcohol hand disinfector dispenser. The product was developed with assistance from Design London, a joint venture between the Royal College of Art and Imperial College. The disposable dispenser holds 50ml of gel, yielding approximately 45 doses, and is designed for single-handed, single-action use by healthcare professionals. It is intended to help prevent the spread of hospital-acquired infections such as MRSA. The company recently closed a £250k seed funding round from an LBA syndicate of sector specialists. Orbel plans to use the funds to further advance and trial its product.
