Orbital Eye BV, founded in 2012 and based in Delft, provides satellite-based monitoring and inspection services intended to replace traditional helicopter-based aerial inspections. The company automatically processes large volumes of radar and optical satellite images daily across thousands of square kilometers, using detection and filter algorithms to distinguish relevant changes and upload alerts for inspectors, asset managers, and HSE officers. Its services are offered via a Data Subscription model that requires no upfront customer investments. As a member of the S[&]T group, Orbital Eye has direct access to over 100 specialists in earth observation, big data processing, and software engineering. The company announced it secured €2M in new funding led by S[&]T Ventures, with support from the Netherlands Enterprise Agency (RVO) and the Ministerie van Economische Zaken en Klimaat via the InnovatieKrediet instrument. Management says the capital will be used to scale the technology, further exploit AI, and automate its satellite-based monitoring solutions to serve customers of any network size while maintaining monitoring performance.
