Orège develops, manufactures and commercializes SLG® solutions for the conditioning, treatment and valorization of municipal and industrial sludges. Its patented SLG® technology reduces sludge volume, modifies physico‑chemical and rheological characteristics and improves sites' carbon footprint. The technology has received multiple awards, including Global Water Intelligence's "technology of the year" (2016) and "most innovative technology" at Utility Week Birmingham (2017). Orège operates from sites in France, the United States, the United Kingdom and Germany and counts Itochu Machine‑Technos Corp as a partner in Japan; it is listed on Euronext Paris. The company plans to use the recent proceeds to finance commercial expansion in the United States, Britain, Germany and Japan and to develop new waste‑to‑energy valorization solutions. Orège reported no current dilutive instruments following the abandonment of stock option plans, though new free share plans planned for 2019 could represent up to 3% of capital post‑issuance. Orège, based in Jouy-en-Josas near Paris, has developed patented wastewater treatment technologies for complex effluents and sludge from the oil & gas, mining, petrochemical and chemical industries. Its patented SOFHYS and patent-pending SLG systems are designed to treat BTEX compounds and dissolved chemical oxygen demand (COD) and to de-watering and de-polluting sludge in a cost-efficient manner. On 12/07/2011 Orège received an €8m private equity financing led by Climate Change Capital Private Equity LP (which contributed €6m) with participation from Oraxys SA. The company intends to use the proceeds to accelerate expansion in France and internationally through investments in mobile SOFHYS and SLG units. It also plans to enrich specific know-how by creating dedicated teams for the oil & gas and chemistry sectors. Orège is led by CEO Pascal Gendrot, employs 40 people, and maintains an R&D facility in Aix-en-Provence.
