Organise
25 Park Row, New York, 10038, United States
Overview
Organise is a worker-driven digital platform that enables individuals to start and join campaigns to improve working conditions, combining collective action with digital campaigning tools. The product provides surveys, petitions, open letters and peer-to-peer features to help users build awareness and coordinate workplace campaigns. Organise is free to join but offers paid, enhanced support (employment advice and a peer forum); around 5% of users pay a subscription (typically £1–£2 per week). The platform says it has helped mount successful campaigns at companies including McDonald’s, Ted Baker, Amazon, Uber and Deliveroo. Membership surged from 90,000 to 400,000 in the last three months, a growth Organise attributes in part to the coronavirus crisis. The company was founded in 2017 by CEO Nat Whalley and CTO Bex Hay and positions itself as complementary to traditional unions rather than a replacement.
