Organizer builds smartphone apps to manage field work, beginning with Electionear, an app for political canvassing that offers dynamic scripts, directions and mobile data collection. The company also provides a web interface for organizers to create branching scripts, divide neighborhoods into zones, assign volunteers via drag-and-drop, filter voter lists, visualize real-time results and export data. Organizer is taking its Electionear apps out of beta while national and local campaigns already use the product. The broader Organizer brand aims to expand beyond political campaigns to workforce management for field employees such as plumbers, electricians, maids and other fleets working offsite. The company demonstrated the product at Disrupt and plans to apply the same mobile and workflow features to non-political businesses. Organizer has raised $3.9 million in funding from a group of investors.
