Overview
TeachMate365 is a cloud-based platform developed by SpecialNeedsWare in collaboration with Boston Children’s Hospital to help educators, therapists, and parents create visual tools, sync lesson plans, and track student behavior and progress. The product emphasizes visual learning and lets students access lessons and exercises on tablets and smartphones. The company aims for large district rollouts of 100–1,000 licenses and offers up to 37 days of training for districts. TeachMate365 has already been implemented in several U.S. school districts, including El Paso, Texas. TeachMate365’s founders previously built the AutisMate iPad app (now with 10,000 users on its classic platform and 15,000 on a lite version), and the new platform will be used to support transitions to college and jobs as well as inclusion in general classrooms. Financially, TeachMate365 has raised a $3M Series A to fund product development and to grow its sales and marketing team.
