The announced financing will be used for team building, product optimization, and R&D and clinical translation of the latest cancer diagnostic and treatment technologies. Founder Wang Kai has a background in sequencing analysis at BGI, began NGS data analysis in 2007, earned a bioinformatics doctorate, continued cancer research at Harvard, and was an early employee at Foundation Medicine before returning to China in 2015 and founding OrigiMed in May this year.
