LAM Therapeutics is a Guilford, Conn.-based developer of precision therapeutics and companion diagnostics for cancer and rare diseases. Led by Henri Lichenstein, Ph.D., and Dr. Tian Xu, the company accelerates drug development using next-generation sequencing, genome editing, chemical genomics, combinational drug screening, and deep learning to match clinical drugs to new indications. It has advanced two drug candidates into clinical trials—LAM-001 for lymphangioleiomyomatosis and LAM-002 for B-cell non-Hodgkin lymphoma—and is preparing to advance LAM-003 into the clinic for hematological malignancies. In March 2017 LAM closed a $58M Series C financing to fund further development of its pipeline. The backers were not disclosed. The company is a 4Catalyzer company. Each trial is designed to assess safety and tolerability following acceptance of Investigational New Drug (IND) applications by the U.S. FDA. LAM was built within the 4Catalyzer accelerator and highlights a leadership team including co‑founders Dr. Jonathan Rothberg, Dr. Tian Xu, and Dr. Henri Lichenstein. The company announced a $40 million financing to accelerate its development programs.
