Oscorp Energy develops AI-powered vision systems designed to identify hazardous lithium batteries within recycling and waste streams to prevent fires. The company’s initial commercial deployment is with battery recycling firm Livium, and it claims the technology could prevent around 12,000 fires per year. Oscorp plans to scale from this first deployment toward broader "full waste-stream intelligence" across recycling operations. The startup is led by founder Ani Goswami, an Australian robotics founder and Founder Institute (Australia & New Zealand) graduate. Financially, Oscorp recently closed a A$1.3M pre-seed round led by AI Venture Builder (AIVB) to fund these deployments and expansion plans.
