Osu is a London-based provider of a payment app for the UK’s self-employed, launched in 2020 by co-founders Noam Nevo, Daniel Scott and Alon Zion. The app enables instant payments, modern professional invoicing, and automated payment reminders. Users send a payment request by entering a customer’s name, phone number and amount; the customer receives an SMS, selects their bank and approves the payment instantly in their banking app. Since launch the company has worked with more than 1,000 self-employed professionals. Osu plans to expand its product set with business-management features and grow its customer base using the seed proceeds. The company intends to add direct customer communication, calendar integrations, booking and scheduling, mini-sites for online presence, run digital and offline marketing campaigns and bolster the team with new hires.
