Overview

OTTO Motors provides autonomous mobile robots (AMRs) and accompanying software for material handling inside manufacturing facilities and warehouses. Its AMR technology and award-winning software have logged more than four million hours of production driving experience and are used for mission-critical deliveries in demanding industrial environments. Seventy percent of OTTO’s customers are Fortune 500 companies, and customers include GE and Toyota. The company has received recognitions such as Fast Company’s 2023 Most Innovative Companies, Business Insider Top 40 under 40, and The Vector AI20 Top AI Companies to Watch in 2023. OTTO maintains a strategic commercial relationship with Mitsubishi Electric, which has announced a strategic investment in its parent company, Clearpath Robotics, to strengthen collaboration. The company is positioned to accelerate industrial automation globally by deepening partnerships and expanding deployment of its AMRs. OTTO Motors is Clearpath Robotics' industrial division that builds autonomous mobile robots (AMRs) for material handling; the division launched in 2015. Its AMR platform is used to move parts and materials within factories and warehouses and has landed contracts with customers including GE, Toyota, Nestlé and Berry Global. The company’s initial customer base grew out of the automotive and transportation industries; it now works with six of the 10 OEMs and has seen adoption in medical device and healthcare sectors. OTTO positions its robots to take on low‑value, repetitive transport tasks so human workers can focus on higher‑skilled roles. Demand has been accelerated by COVID-19 as companies seek to enhance worker safety and address labor shortages. The company announced a $29M Series C and has raised $83M in funding to date.
