OurPass provides a mobile app that builds an identity layer and wallet to allow consumers to complete checkouts in one click at merchants that integrate its API. The platform assigns virtual account numbers and requires users to fund wallets so payments can move instantly into merchants’ wallets, enabling end-to-end value capture and instant settlement. OurPass also offers free delivery through partnerships with logistics providers such as MAX.ng and Gokada and has acquired Storemia to onboard small-business merchants. The company charges merchants 0.8% per transaction (capped at N1,000) and takes a 5% commission on products sold. Since a May beta launch, OurPass says it has handled $500,000 in transaction value and aims to expand merchant integrations to WooCommerce, Magento, Squarespace, Shopify and social commerce channels. The one-year-old, Nigeria-based startup plans to use funding to develop its technology and grow its team to about 200 people by the end of next year.
