Outcome Health (formerly ContextMedia) builds digital patient-engagement products delivered via waiting-room screens, a physician app, interactive exam-room tablets and a large interactive digital exam wall board that can present 3-D views. Its platform integrates decision-support tools such as WiserCare to help patients weigh treatment options. The company employs about 600 people across offices in Chicago and New York and, after acquiring Accent Health in November 2016, expanded its footprint from roughly 30,000 to 55,000 physician practices. Outcome Health has set a goal to increase penetration from 20% to 70% of physician practices by 2020 and plans to use new funding to add provider customers, invest in product and engineering, extend its suite and expand into additional markets. It is also pursuing growth opportunities in clinical trials as a new area of expansion. Financially, the company has closed its first financing — a $500 million growth equity round that values the business at about $5 billion.
