Outlaw
61 Greenpoint Ave #635, Brooklyn, New York, 11222, United States
Overview
Outlaw provides a contract platform that enables parties to create, edit, negotiate and execute agreements, with redlining and version-control tools to optimize contract lifecycle and deal flow. It serves companies across industries such as finance, insurance, real estate and hospitality. Current customers include Rise by Barclays, Work & Co and Compass. Co-founded in 2017 by Evan Schneyer (an ex-Googler and serial entrepreneur who founded Wanderfly, acquired by TripAdvisor) and Dan Dalzotto (a veteran product designer who has created products for Google, Facebook, Starbucks and the NBA), the company is headquartered in Brooklyn, NY. Outlaw will use the funding to grow its team, accelerate product development and scale customer acquisition. Outlaw is a template-driven, end-to-end contract platform that generates plain-English cover letters and full contracts, and lets recipients sign in real time. The product pulls key information from long legal documents into friendlier overviews while keeping full contracts available on the platform. It covers authoring, document generation, negotiation and digital signing, positioning itself against LegalZoom, Rocket Lawyer and DocuSign by spanning the entire workflow. The team soft-launched in spring 2017 and is based in Brooklyn. Outlaw charges seat-based SaaS pricing (currently $40 per month or $30 per year) and continues developing tailored features for new customers. The company plans to use product improvements to make long-form contracts less central and to speed deal-making.
