Outlines produces a shower curtain system in which the reusable top, weights, and hooks are durable while the liner itself is made from an easy-to-recycle plastic. The company operates a replenishment model: it ships replacement liners on a regular rotation and takes the used liners back for responsible recycling. Founders Luke Barkley Young and Megan Murphy began the project as “Dripp,” through which they acquired about 2,500 early paying customers who provided product feedback. Outlines argues that recyclable single-use liners avoid the microplastic and DWR issues of washable alternatives and that domestic recycling and improving courier fleets reduce overall carbon impact versus overseas manufacturing. The company plans to invest in digital tools to personalize replenishment cadence and in further product development, with potential next products including loofahs and dish scrubbers. Outlines closed funding to support its launch and near-term product roadmap.
