OutSense
Yoni Netanyahu St 6, Or Yehuda, Tel Aviv District, Israel
Overview
OutSense develops a toilet-clip IoT device that automatically captures optical samples of stool and urine and analyzes them in the cloud using proprietary computer vision algorithms and AI. Its system combines multi-spectral optical sensors, an illumination module, and an autonomous controller with Wi‑Fi to deliver non-invasive, automatic, and discreet screening without active user intervention. Core applications include screening for hidden blood in stool (an early sign of colorectal cancer) and monitoring dehydration, urinary tract infections, constipation, and diarrhea—conditions that commonly cause deterioration and hospitalization in the elderly. The company plans to complete final product design and expand medical trials in Israel and abroad, and has a planned pilot in Japan with a large healthcare corporation focused on remote elderly care. OutSense intends to initiate FDA and other regulatory approval processes next year and is planning another fundraising round to finance marketing and commercialization. Founded in 2016 and incubated at the Incentive Incubator, the company recently raised $2.2M in a Series A from Peregrine Ventures to finish development and expand trials.
