Overview
Overclock Labs is building DISCO (Decentralized Infrastructure for Serverless Computing Operations), a platform that automates distributed cloud infrastructure using Kubernetes and containers. DISCO aims to support a wide range of applications and offer a developer experience similar to Heroku via both a graphical interface and a smart CLI. The tool already supports AWS, Google Cloud Platform, and bare-metal provider Packet, and the company expects to add support for other clouds. DISCO will be open source so others can build integrations, and the founders plan to monetize by building premium services on top of the open-source core. The team used a previously undisclosed $1.3 million seed round to develop DISCO. Overclock Labs was founded two years ago and is coming out of stealth to release DISCO in the next few months.
