Overview

Oxatis provides cloud e-commerce solutions and operates more than 10,000 active e-commerce sites. The company trades under the Actinic brand in the UK, the Xopie brand in Spain and MYTHO in Italy. It has raised €5 million from Arkea Capital alongside prior backers A Plus Finance and OMNES CAPITAL. The capital is intended to accelerate its European expansion. Oxatis says it aims to quadruple its turnover in the coming five years by doubling down on the four markets it currently operates in. No other financial metrics were disclosed in the article. Oxatis offers a software-as-a-service ecommerce platform used by about 7,300 online retailers. Its customers have sold more than €200 million worth of products through the platform, and the company reported 28% growth in 2013. Oxatis plans to double turnover in the next three years and to expand headcount—from 65 today to 90–100 by year-end and by 80 hires over three years (50 in France, 30 elsewhere in Europe). The company will use new funding to boost R&D and add 60 new features to its platform. Oxatis operates under the Actinic brand in the UK after acquiring the British company, and it has offices in Marseille (headquarters), Paris, Surrey (UK) and Barcelona. It is active in Spain and Italy and is exploring strategic acquisitions in Spain, Italy, France and Germany. Oxatis provides a SaaS e-commerce platform that supplies the tools needed to set up and manage merchant websites, including online software, shopping basket, hosting, secure payment, order management, inventory management, domain names and integrations with major market players. Founded in 2001 and based in Marseille, the company serves the French-speaking countries of Europe as well as Spain, Italy, the UK and Canada. The new €4m financing will be used to develop its platform concept and to extend its offering to complementary businesses within its ecosystem. Crédit Agricole Private Equity and existing investor A Plus Finance provided the funding. The company did not disclose operating metrics in the article.
