Oxio
125 Charest Blvd E Fl 2, Quebec, G1K 3G5, Canada
Overview
Founded in 2019, Oxio offers Canadian consumers internet service that can be ordered online in about five minutes, backed by local customer support and a 60-day money-back guarantee. Rather than building its own last-mile infrastructure, the company leases capacity from incumbents such as Videotron in Québec and Rogers in Ontario, layering on its cloud-based oxioOS software to automate provisioning, billing, and customer care. This software-driven model enables Oxio to operate with a lean headcount and, according to the firm, pass transparent, fair pricing on to customers. After gaining what it calls a "strong reception" in Québec, Oxio recently expanded into Ontario and intends to continue rolling out service across Canada. Management envisions a future industry split between physical network owners and digital providers like Oxio that focus on customer experience. The company’s growth strategy centers on further developing oxioOS to enhance automation and scalability. Including the latest financing, Oxio has raised a total of $40 million CAD to date.
