Oxzo
Ruta 5 Sur, Km. 1012, Parcela 4AD, Puerto Varas, Los Lagos, Chile
Overview
Headquartered in southern Chile and active in Chile, Norway and Canada, Oxzo designs fully automated systems that generate oxygen, air and ozone to optimize conditions for fish farming both at sea and on land. Flagship products such as the Oxymar automated pontoons and Oxymovil mobile oxygen units deliver measurable performance gains, including 5–10% biomass growth, cost reductions of up to 5%, and more than 24% lower fish mortality in Chilean salmon farms. In Norway the technology helps major salmon producers combat sea-lice-related stress, while in Canada it supports compliance with new sustainability regulations. Oxzo positions itself as a strategic partner to the global aquaculture sector, providing decision-support software and multi-generation fish care alongside its hardware. The company’s modular, energy-efficient approach offers an alternative to costly land-based or closed-containment systems, preserving economic and environmental viability. A newly secured US$25 million investment will finance international expansion, building on earlier backing from Fiordo Austral and Altis.
