Packlink operates an online shipping comparison and booking platform that connects providers with consumers and businesses and integrates with over 20 partners, including DHL, UPS and TNT. Founded in Madrid in 2012 by CEO Ben Askew-Renaut, the company is present in Spain, Germany, France and Italy. Packlink closed a $12.6m venture capital financing led by Eight Roads Ventures with participation from Accel Partners and Active Venture Partners. The company said it will use the funds to expand across Europe. The round brings Packlink's total funding to $24.9m. PackLink operates an online parcel-shipping marketplace and metasearch platform that compares price, delivery speed and service level across more than 20 courier partners, and lets users print labels and track packages. It touts the ability to deliver users savings of up to 70% on each shipment by cross-referencing multiple providers. The startup has expanded its service into Germany, France and Poland and reports some two million customers used its platform in the past 12 months. PackLink plans imminent launches in Italy and Mexico, with the UK and a possible U.S. expansion under consideration. It is developing PackLink Pro, a B2B cloud platform to integrate with merchants' systems to automate shipping and enable notifications, tracking and returns management. Financially, PackLink has raised $9M in a Series B led by Accel and has $11M in total funding to date. Packlink operates an online platform that lets companies and individuals compare parcel and courier services (FedEx, TNT, MRV, SEUR, UPS, Tourline Express, etc.) and choose offers by price and quality. The service targets both business and consumer shippers through a single comparison interface. Co-founded in 2012 by Ben Askew-Renaut and Javier Bravo, the company reported enabling 100,000 shipments in its first year of activity. Packlink raised €1.5m to support growth and strengthen its market position. The company intends to use the capital to consolidate its position in the Spanish market and to expand across the rest of Europe.
