Pairidex
Duncan, Oklahoma, United States, North America
Overview
Pairidex develops FusionMRD, an RNA-based droplet digital PCR, patient-specific lab-developed test for monitoring minimal residual disease in gene fusion-driven blood cancers. The test is currently commercially available from the company’s CLIA-certified and CAP-accredited laboratory and is initially focused on acute myeloid leukemia. Pairidex says FusionMRD can be used in approximately 50% of AML patients whose disease is driven by a gene fusion. The company plans to use the newly raised $4.89 million seed financing to speed commercialization of FusionMRD, support further clinical studies, expand commercially, and strengthen laboratory operations and its personalized molecular diagnostics platform. Leadership commentary in the funding announcement included cofounder and CSO Andrew Young emphasizing clinical adoption and real-time treatment decision-making. The financing was provided by a single unnamed large, publicly held strategic investor and the round was oversubscribed.
