Palarum is advancing a proprietary technology platform aimed at enhancing patient safety protocols in acute-care healthcare facilities. The company’s solution uses a patented smart textile fabric combined with IoT technologies to monitor patient movement. Its new product, PUP™, is designed to provide monitoring, notification, and data capture for patients deemed a potential fall risk. Led by healthcare expert and former UC Health executive Patrick Baker (President and CEO), Palarum intends to offer an integrated monitoring solution to improve care and safety. The company secured $3.4M in funding and plans to use the proceeds for ongoing development and market testing of its platform. Backers were not disclosed.
