Pallet
1930 Merrill Creek Parkway, Suite A, Everett, WA, 98203, United States
Overview
Pallet makes hard-plastic, easily assembled tiny shelters with built-in floors, beds, windows, storage and locking doors; units can be put together in under an hour and a 50-cabin village in a day. The company also builds accompanying bathroom and dining facilities to create temporary villages for people experiencing homelessness. Shelters are mildew- and water-resistant, easy to clean, and the smallest 8-by-8-foot units start at $5,500. Pallet launched in 2016 and has deployed shelters in 60 communities across 11 states, including five Washington cities such as Seattle and Tacoma. The company employs 105 people and prioritizes hiring people who have faced barriers to employment, including those formerly incarcerated or experiencing homelessness. Its stated goal is to move people out of tents into Pallet units so they can access resources and transition to long-term housing.
