Palliare develops the EVA15 insufflator and smoke evacuation system intended to create a safer operating room. The EVA15 is the company's first product and is designed to deliver continuous pressure insufflation and laparoscopic smoke evacuation for laparoscopic, endoluminal, endoscopic, and robotic procedures. The company plans to use newly raised capital to support a U.S. commercial launch and to fund further R&D. Heightened awareness of surgical smoke hazards and recent U.S. legislative activity have increased demand for smoke evacuation solutions. Palliare appointed Julie Tupen as U.S. vice president of sales to drive the commercial rollout, citing her experience at Covidien, Invuity, and Hologic. Founded in 2018 as a spinout from Crospon, Palliare is based in Galway, Ireland, with U.S. headquarters in Oceanside, California.
