Pangea Payments is a Chicago-based money transfer company developing a platform to allow users to send money anywhere via web, mobile and retail locations while charging a consistent fee. The company is led by founder and CEO Rahier Rahman. Pangea began operations in the Impact Engine venture accelerator. It plans to launch the solution in Fall 2013 and work with strategic partners on platform development. The business raised over $1m in seed funding to continue developing its platform. Backers named in press coverage include institutional and angel investors who supported the seed round.
