Panono
Französische Straße 9, Berlin, 10117, Germany
Overview
Panono builds a ball-shaped camera that uses 36 tiny cameras mounted on an 11cm sphere to capture a simultaneous 108‑megapixel spherical panorama. Users trigger the capture by tossing the ball into the air, holding it on a stick, or pressing a trigger, and Panono’s software stitches the 36 images into an interactive panorama. The device stores roughly 400 panoramas on internal flash and can transfer data to smartphones or tablets via Bluetooth or Wi‑Fi. Panono is developing iOS and Android viewers and a Panono Cloud for exploring panoramas, and it also allows access to the raw 36 single images. The product currently supports high‑resolution stills and interactive panoramas but does not offer video capture. The company ran a crowdfunding campaign that has exceeded $1M, which is funding product completion and delivery plans.
