Overview
Panoply offers an all-in-one cloud data platform that helps businesses set up data warehouses and run SQL-based analytics without heavy engineering. The platform includes code-free data integrations for sources such as Salesforce, HubSpot, NetSuite, Xero, QuickBooks and Freshworks, and it connects with BigQuery, Redshift and major BI tools. Panoply emphasizes democratizing access to data warehousing and easing analysts' workflows. The company plans to use its newest funding to expand sales and marketing to accelerate adoption. CEO and co-founder Yaniv Leven frames the product as making analysts' lives simpler and more productive. Panoply operates in a competitive market alongside incumbents like Snowflake and Databricks. Panoply offers an ETL-less Smart Data Warehouse that leverages machine learning and natural language processing to automatically enrich, transform and optimize big data for analytics. Its platform automates data warehouses and data lakes, including machine-learning query optimization and automated elastic storage and CPU scaling, to reduce DevOps overhead for data engineers, analysts and business users. The company markets a cloud-built solution intended to speed time-to-insight by eliminating traditional development and coding associated with data integration. Panoply said the new funding will support accelerated sales, marketing and product roadmap advancement and an exponential expansion of its engineering team to meet customer demand. Panoply is privately held and is based in San Francisco and Tel Aviv. The company also announced senior hires in sales and marketing and an addition to its advisory board concurrent with the fundraise. Panoply.io offers a full‑stack, managed data warehousing and analytics service that automates complex tasks like schema building, modeling, scaling, performance tuning, security, backup and data transformations using machine learning algorithms. The product integrates technologies such as Kafka, Spark and Amazon Redshift and emphasizes ease of use, aiming to make setup as fast as spinning up an AWS server (the company says full setup should take fewer than 15 minutes). The service is currently in closed beta, with the team expecting a wider beta by the end of the summer. Panoply handles modeling and scaling for operators and plans to expand availability across other major cloud providers such as Azure and Google Cloud Platform. The company also intends to invest in BI and data integration partnerships to broaden its ecosystem. Panoply has offices/presence in Tel Aviv and San Francisco. Panoply.io offers a data warehousing platform that sits on top of Amazon Redshift and aims to provide a modeled, scalable cloud warehouse with minimal coding. The service promises a modeled warehouse in under five minutes and the ability to go from raw data to complex queries in under 15 minutes. The product focuses on automating optimization, modeling, and scaling so operators need not manage DBAs or complex infra. Founders Yaniv Leven and Roi Avinoam drew on prior analytics and data management experience at Mytopia and Win. The company is targeting small and medium businesses in the mobile apps and services industry. Panoply.io announced a $1.3 million seed raise, is in private beta with 10 beta customers, and plans to launch an open beta in Q1 2016.
