Pantea, based in Navacchio (Pisa), Italy, develops mobile advertising and marketing software. It offers a Mobile Ad Server platform to manage advertisements across smartphones, tablets and PCs, and a Mobile Marketing platform that enables large brands to design, implement and distribute campaigns using SMS, QR codes, mobile landing pages and other customer interaction tools. The company was founded by Sicilian entrepreneur Gaetano Liggieri. Pantea is to receive €750K in equity funding, which it intends to use to create an information technology development centre in Catania. The investment is split into two tranches and part of it is tied to the reaching of milestones. Backers include Atlante Mezzogiorno Ventures—which subscribed for part of a capital increase of a total of €600K—and Neomobile. Following the transaction Atlante Mezzogiorno Ventures will hold a minority interest while the founding shareholders will retain a majority stake.
