PanTher Therapeutics develops a proprietary platform that enables direct, localized, and sustained delivery of proven and novel therapeutic agents to solid tumors. The underlying technology was developed at MIT and subsequently in‑licensed by PanTher. Its lead candidate is designed to control tumor progression in pancreatic cancer, improve survival, and is easily integrated into a commonly used, minimally invasive staging procedure. The company says the platform can be adapted to treat additional solid tumor indications and aims to unlock a drug’s full potential while reducing systemic toxicity. PanTher closed an oversubscribed $5.4M Series A led by Catalyst Health Ventures with participation from Angel Physicians Fund and other investors, bringing total funding to $7.4M. Proceeds from the financing will support the company’s first‑in‑human clinical trial as it transitions to a clinical‑stage company. The company also expanded its board with Darshana Zaveri (CHV), Manish Bhandari (APF), and Maria Palasis (Lyra Therapeutics).
