Parafin
301 Howard St., San Francisco, California, 94105, United States
Overview
Parafin builds embedded financing infrastructure for marketplaces, vertical SaaS platforms, and payment processors by abstracting capital markets, underwriting, servicing, compliance, and customer support. Its products enable platforms such as Amazon, Walmart, DoorDash, Gusto and TikTok Shop to offer financing to their small-business customers at the point of need. Parafin reports having funded over 50,000 businesses and having extended more than $35 billion in offers to small businesses across the U.S. and Canada. The company says the majority of its fundings go to repeat borrowers, reflecting returning demand. Parafin was founded in 2020 by Sahill Poddar, Vineet Goel, and Ralph Furman and is backed by Ribbit Capital, Thrive Capital, GIC, Notable Capital, and Redpoint Ventures. The recent credit facility led by Goldman Sachs and One William Street is intended to expand its financing capacity and accelerate delivery of embedded capital through partner platforms.
