Parallelz builds a platform to convert native mobile apps into web apps without loss of quality or requiring an SDK, enabling developers to distribute apps via the web. The company requires a valid app binary to perform the conversion and promises near-instant URLs developers can share for marketing and distribution. Parallelz plans to launch the platform later this year. Converted web apps will allow users to make in-app purchases similarly to e-commerce sites. The founder and CEO, Albert Lai, previously launched titles on Facebook Instant Games and started Parallelz after encountering limitations with that approach. Financially, the company has raised $3 million in a pre-seed round and has not yet finalized a monetization model.
