ParaSwap began as a DEX aggregator and shifted focus in late 2019 to developing an API that serves as connective tissue for DeFi applications. Its API provides access not only to multiple DEXs but also to other DeFi services such as Aave and Compound. The company says the platform is intended to be an easy-to-use entry point for DeFi applications, traders and wallets. ParaSwap is led by founder Mounir Benchemled and is based in France. Financially, ParaSwap completed a $2.7 million seed funding round joined by 32 investors. The firm plans to use the funding to grow the team and scale its infrastructure to support upcoming business challenges.
