Parent Co. launched with the goal of creating a line of digital products designed for modern parents, debuting with its acquisition of Notabli. Notabli, founded in 2012, is a private social networking app for saving and sharing children’s moments and is now Parent Co.’s first product. With $1.8 million in angel funding behind the launch, Parent Co. expanded Notabli from an iOS-only app to a web/desktop beta and is developing an Android version. The Notabli product includes tools for organizing, searching, exporting and automatically backing up content (including Dropbox support), and can send email updates to relatives who don’t use the app. Parent Co. plans future features such as turning posts into photo prints and photo books and adding an import feature for moments from other social networks. The team is fourteen people and is based in Burlington, Vermont.
