Parlement Technologies is the new parent company for the Parler social app and is pivoting to offer cloud infrastructure and services by acquiring Dynascale. The company intends to provide infrastructure for businesses that risk being removed by mainstream providers, targeting conservative businesses as customers. Parler’s CEO George Farmer will lead Parlement and has said the company is talking to a large range of conservative businesses that could use its services. The shift follows Parler’s high-profile removals from major platforms and hosts in 2021 and subsequent reinstatements on app stores after moderation changes. Parlement announced a fresh $16 million financing to support the pivot toward infrastructure; the company did not name the contributors to the new round. Parlement has previously received key investment from Republican donor Rebekah Mercer.
