The company announced a restructure into Parlement Technologies, Inc. to operate a diversified portfolio of technology and platforms. That portfolio includes the Parler social app and technology systems such as Web3 and secure cloud services branded DeepRedSky, as well as the acquired Dynascale business. Parler acquired Irvine, CA–based private cloud company Dynascale Inc., which offers private and hybrid cloud solutions, disaster recovery, colocation, managed network services, custom managed services, and 24/7/365 live support. The company said it will use the new funding to expand operations and broaden its business reach. The company is led by CEO George Farmer and is based in Nashville, TN. Parler is a conservative social media platform that rose to prominence after bans of high-profile users on mainstream platforms and positions itself as an alternative with less stringent moderation. The company says it has more than 16 million registered users and its mobile app has been downloaded about 11.3 million times globally since its debut, with only 141,000 downloads recorded since its May 2021 return to the App Store. Major platform removals last year came after Apple, Google and Amazon said the app had been used by Trump supporters and other far-right users to call for violence and organize the January 6 attack. Under new CEO George Farmer, Parler says it has implemented AI content moderation alongside human moderation and changed community guidelines to bar use for crime and other unlawful acts. The app's stated focus on building filtering technology and moderation systems is a central part of its current operating posture. Parler may soon face new competition from Trump’s TRUTH Social, which is expected to launch soon.
