Parrot Software provides a restaurant point-of-sale and management service that handles payments (including online), real-time ordering and integrations with delivery, accounting and loyalty systems. The founders, Roberto Cebrián and David Villarreal, launched the company leveraging Cebrián’s prior POS experience at S3 Software and Villarreal’s product experience at Uber and Grin. The product is live in more than 500 restaurants and the company has contracts in 10 cities, with its largest presence in Northeastern Mexico around Monterrey. Customers include chains such as Cinnabon, Dairy Queen, Grupo Costeño and Grupo Pangea. The startup has attracted multiple North American investors and recently secured funding to expand its operations in Mexico. The team positions the product as a local equivalent to U.S. offerings like Toast and is focused on growing its restaurant footprint.
