PAS-Analytik GmbH develops, produces and distributes spectroscopic gas sensors and analyzers for industrial and medical applications. Its systems detect gases and measure concentrations based on the principle of photoacoustics. The company's products are used in the energy sector, the semiconductor industry and the petrochemical industry. PAS-Analytik was established in 2009 as a spin-off from Helmut Schmidt University in Hamburg. It received a €550k investment and plans to use the capital to further develop its technology and to accelerate entry into the market for industrial and medical gas analysis. The Hamburg-based corporate finance consultancy CatCap advised the company in attracting the new investors.
