Overview
Path.to lets users create image-filled, sleek professional profiles and matches them to job openings via a proprietary compatibility algorithm and a "Path.to score." The score incorporates social graph data (Twitter, Facebook), contributions and reputation on sites like Behance, Dribbble, Forrst and GitHub, and user preferences such as dress code, benefits and culture. The service is free for job-seekers; employers are free for the first 90 days and then move to a pay-per-post model, with each job posting live for 30 days. The relaunch targets Silicon Valley first, with planned expansion to Chicago and New York later in the year, and the first wave of listings includes openings from more than 100 companies such as Eventbrite, Evernote, Lytro and Uber. Path.to was started in August 2011 by Darren Bounds and went dark in March in preparation for this relaunch. Financially, the company announced a $1.5 million strategic funding round from Adecco to support the product and growth; Adecco is also slated to post jobs on the site.
