Pathrise is an online program for aspiring and established tech professionals that provides one-on-one mentorship, insider knowledge, training, and advice from experts at top tech companies. The program operates on aligned incentives: participants pay only if they get hired and start work at a top-tier job. Led by CEO and co-founder Kevin Wu, Pathrise manages mentor matching, job searching, and resource recommendation through a proprietary platform. The company plans to use the newly raised capital to expand its engineering team, further develop its platform, recruit and onboard mentors, and refine scholarship systems. It also intends to create affordable income share agreements and other financial innovations to improve accessibility and to fund research projects compiling hiring-manager and interview data. Financially, Pathrise closed a $9M Series A that included $5.5M in new equity and $3.5M in venture debt.
